Nintendo took to major live streaming platforms Thursday afternoon for the first time since E3 to announce some of what it has in store, including an animated feature film based on the Super Mario franchise.

Over the past few years, Nintendo has frequently held pre-recorded press conferences called Nintendo Directs to reveal news and updates on its upcoming games. The pace of its Directs has slowed at a relative rate over the past year and a half, however, mainly due to the effects of COVID-19 on Nintendo’s release schedule. Direct Thursday began with an explicit disclaimer, stating that all release dates are subject to change due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, some of the most important items on a Nintendo fan’s wishlist were conspicuously missing from today’s Direct. News from the next and last fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is selected for a special virtual presentation by Smash producer Masahiro Sakurai on October 5th, and no one even mentioned Breath of the Wild 2.

Mario Creator Shigeru Miyamoto unexpectedly took the stage to reveal details on the upcoming Mario film, however, set to hit North American theaters on December 21.

While Miyamoto hasn’t had any footage to show, he did reveal the film’s all-star voice cast, which includes Chris Pratt (Avengers: Endgame) like Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen’s Gambit) as Princess Peach, Charlie Day (It’s always nice in Philadelphia) like Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peel) like Toad, and Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda) like Bowser.

Mario’s traditional voice actor, Charles Martinet, will also appear in the Mario film in unspecified “surprise cameos”. Martinet has voiced Mario for about as long as the character has had a voice, from the years 1992 Mario teaches typing, and achieved a Guinness World Record in 2019 for the most video game voiceover performances with the same character.

In Nintendo’s gaming news, the company plans to expand its Switch Online subscription service from the end of October. In a new “Expansion Pack”, Switch Online users can upgrade to a new plan that will unlock access to a new library of selected games for the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis systems.

While Nintendo has not disclosed any information on the cost of the new plan, it has revealed that its starting lineup for the expanded Switch Online will include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star IV, and in a little surprise, the rail shooter Sin and Punishment, which was never released outside of Japan during the original lifetime of the Nintendo 64. All retro games available will also include online multiplayer, where available, as with Mario Kart 64.

After launch, Nintendo plans to add more N64 titles to the Switch Online library, such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Mario Golf, and Paper mario.

The current version of Switch Online costs $ 3.99 per month. Subscribers have access to a cloud save for their local data, can play Switch games online, and can stream a large, but weirdly random, selection of retro games from the NES and SNES libraries. The new subscription plan would encompass all existing features of Switch Online in addition to the new N64 / Genesis libraries.

Switch Online subscribers will also be able to purchase new wireless controllers direct from Nintendo for $ 49.99 each, which mimic the look and function of the classic Nintendo 64 and Genesis three-button gamepads.

Nintendo also released a long new trailer for its 2022 game. Splatoon 3, as presented by an unnamed “squid finder” in a lab coat. Splatoon 3 takes place in a new location, Splatsville, the City of Chaos, where the various Inklings wage turf wars as a recreational activity. Like its predecessors, Splatoon 3 is a multiplayer shoot-’em-up where two teams of four compete to cover as much of the scene as possible with paint.

Splatoon 3 will also feature a new single-player story mode, titled The return of mammals. In the world of Splatoon, all mammals on the planet were already extinct except for two cats, and playable Inklings are technically squids. The story mode will answer the question of where the mammals went and why.

Fan-favorite character Kirby is also making a return to Switch in the spring of next year. In Kirby and the forgotten land, Kirby ends up on the beach near an abandoned town and must explore it for a way home.

It’s a particular look for Kirby, contrasting long-abandoned urban decadence with the joyful adventures of a pink puffball, but also brings Kirby’s traditional action / platforming style to 3D for the first time in a long time.

Today Direct ended with a new trailer for the long-delayed character action game Bayonette 3, which was originally announced in 2017. It places the main character, a gun-wielding witch (and notoriously high-level Smash Bros. character), in the center of a city besieged by monsters.

Along with her sleek combat moves, the new game also gives Bayonetta the ability to conjure massive monsters like dragons fighting on her behalf, allowing her to engage giant enemies on par. Bayonet 3 is (theoretically) scheduled for release in 2022.

Some of the other Nintendo Direct announcements today include:

  • Capcom Monster Hunter Rise, an exclusive for the Switch, should receive a “massive” paid extension called sun visor next summer. It promises new stories, locations, quests and, of course, new big monsters to hunt.
  • Ahead of its release in two weeks, Nintendo showed a new trailer for Metroid Dread. Samus travels to the unexplored planet ZDR to see if the deadly X-Parasite is still there, and why the previous team of research bots sent to ZDR has gone extinct. A series of files on Terror Metroid have been set up on its official website to dig deeper into the background and setting of the game.
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a free update coming in November that will add new unspecified content to the game. Nintendo will go into more detail on this in a New Horizons-specific direct broadcast at any given time in October.
  • The next Mario Party Superstars (October 28) will feature five new maps from the N64 Mario party games, including Woody Woods, Yoshi’s Tropical Island, and Horror Land. A new feature also allows players to alone to play Mario partyBranded mini-games, locally or online, with a new Tag Match mode for co-op action.
  • Square Enix unveiled a new Japanese RPG from eccentric creator Yoko Taro (Deny: Automata). In Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, all of its elements, such as characters, towns and stores, are represented as playable cards in a simulated tabletop game. A free demo is now available on Switch ahead of its October 28 release.
  • Paradox Interactive brings PC adaptations from Seattle studio Harebrained Schemes to Shadowrun at the Switch in 2022. Shadowrun Trilogy collect the 2013 The Return of Shadowrun (set in Seattle), 2014 Dragon fall, and 2015 Hong Kong.
  • A new Final fantasy-themed kart racer, Chocobo GP, arrives on Switch in 2022. You can play as customizable runners based on various signature creatures from the franchise, such as chocobos and the Summon Sword Gilgamesh.
  • Rune Factory 5, the last installment in the long Farming / Life sim / JRPG series, will be released on Switch in North America on March 22, 2022.
  • The long rumor Castlevania Advanced Collection made its official debut today on Switch. It brings together three Castlevania games that were previously exclusive to the Game Boy Advance – Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and The air of sorrow – with SNES game Dracula X.
  • Deltarune: Chapter 2 is now available on Switch as a free update to the original Deltarune, Toby Fox’s sequel to his hit indie RPG Subtitle.
  • by Techland Dying Light 2: stay human will be released in a special “cloud version” on Switch on February 2, 2022, so gamers can stream it rather than install it locally.
  • A complete “Platinum Edition” of the original Dying light is slated for release on Switch on October 19, just in time for Halloween, which brings together the base game with all of its DLC.
  • The 2003 Star wars RPG Knights of the Old Republic will receive a re-release on Switch on November 11. Millennia before the events of the film trilogy, KOTOR is considered one of the best Star wars games never made despite being notoriously glitchy.
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush, released in June, today receives a free update that will add two new courses, as well as Koopa Troopa and Ninji as playable golfers.
  • Square Enix’s new tactical RPG Triangular strategy was originally announced on the February Direct show. In response to feedback from its demo on Switch, the game has been fine-tuned to improve its user interface, difficulty, load times, and camera control. Its release is scheduled for March 4, 2022.
  • SNES’s “god game” Actress made a surprise return. Square Enix remastered it in HD for the Switch as Renaissance actress, with new bosses and scenes, and a rearranged soundtrack. In one part of the game, you fight a multitude of monsters in side-scrolling action; in the other, you cultivate and expand the world to expand its population, which strengthens your character for the next action stage. It is now available digitally in the Switch eShop.

Batman: The Animated Series – The 8 Darkest Moments Of The Series https://wesleyguesthouse.co.uk/batman-the-animated-series-the-8-darkest-moments-of-the-series/ Thu, 23 Sep 2021 06:30:00 +0000 https://wesleyguesthouse.co.uk/batman-the-animated-series-the-8-darkest-moments-of-the-series/ Batman: The Animated Series is one of the most iconic interpretations of the Batman myth. Batman: The Animated Series is one of the most iconic interpretations of the Batman myth. He dominated the animated television scene in the 90s and continues to be loved by fans around the world. While this show was marketed as a children’s show, it certainly didn’t act like that at times.

RELATED: Batman TAS: 10 Easter Eggs You’ll Only Notice On A Rewatch

Batman: TAS showed Batman and his villains in one of the most authentic ways. The show didn’t fire any punches and did everything to tell adult stories in the context of a children’s show. That’s part of the reason the series stands the test of time.

8 Barbara Gordon’s “death”

One absolutely devastating moment in the show is when Batgirl is pushed off a roof and falls directly into Commissioner Gordon’s car. That’s when her father discovers his daughter is Batgirl, when she dies in his arms.

Overwhelmed by rage and grief, Gordon launches an all-out offensive against Batman. Seeing Barbara die and Jim turn on her longtime ally with such vengeance is almost too much for fans to take. Ultimately, however, it’s only Batgirl’s nightmares that are fueled by Scarecrow’s fear toxin.

7 Batman questions his purpose

batman-greiving-i-am-the-night

One of the hardest things for fans to see is their favorite hero wondering about themselves and their life as heroes. In the scenario “I am the night”, that’s exactly what Batman does. After a series of failures, the one that ends with Gordon shooting, Bruce Wayne wonders if he did any good in Gotham; Whether he was Batman changed something or only made it worse.

In a fit of emotion, he even trashes the Batcave and screams into the void. It’s a dark moment for the show, Batman has given up and Gotham is in a worse situation. It takes a passionate speech from Robin for him to finally see beyond his failures the good he has done.

6 Harley Quinn’s devotion causes her immense pain

The story of Harley Quinn is heartbreaking. She falls in love and it ends up being the worst thing that can happen to her. His devotion to Joker is what causes him the most pain. She is first introduced in the myth of Batman in Batman: TAS and that’s a dark piece of history for the program.

In the scenario “Mad Love”, she tries to kill Batman for Mister J and he pays her back by throwing her out the window. Yet in the end, she still wants to come back to him and sees everything he does as an act of love.

5 The tragic life of Tim Drake as Joker Jr.

Even if Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker did not take place in the Batman: TAS show, it still follows the same timeline, so it’s worth mentioning. In one of the most twisted acts of the Batman: TAS canon, the Joker destroys the life of Tim Drake. He kidnaps him then transforms him into Joker Jr.

Even after Tim returns to his normal state, this event haunts him for the rest of his life. The most horrifying moment is when Tim, as Joker Jr., breaks down crying. Since he’s also the Joker, this is a haunting laugh / cry mashup.

4 Bruce’s Fantasy: Life Without Batman – Bruce attempts suicide by jumping from a building

Fans and writers love to wonder what Bruce Wayne would be like without Batman. “Follow your dreams,” deals only with this question. Bruce remembers being Batman, but everything in his life is ideal and contradicts everything he remembers.

RELATED: DC: The 10 Best Elseworlds Stories You Must Read

He realizes that this is a false reality and to escape, he tries to kill himself by jumping from a building. Bruce is devastated to know that despite the perfect world he’s trapped in, he has to return to the waking nightmare that is his reality.

3 Robin’s Reckoning – Dick Grayson Deals With His Painful Past

batman-tas-robins-calculus

Robin, aka Dick Grayson, is not always seen as a tragic character. It’s hidden behind jokes and bright colors, but behind it all lies a dark story. “Robin’s judgment” takes viewers on a walking tour that explores Robin’s story.

It starts with the murder of his family in front of him and ends with him tracking down the man who committed it. He is faced with the heavy choice of revenge or justice. As much as Robin wants to kill the man who ruined his family, so much he decides it’s a line he can’t cross.

2 Mr. Freeze In Heart Of Ice – Mister Freeze Did Everything To Save His Wife

Batman: TAS revitalized the character of Mister Freeze, making it less cheesy, much more in-depth and intense. “Heart Of Ice” explores many elements of Mister Freeze’s life, but more specifically his relationship with his wife Nora. The show was the first place Nora was introduced and she changed the character to the villain.

Mister Freeze did all he could to save his wife, he destroyed her body and entered a life of crime for her. She was a sympathetic motive for his crimes and helped transform a cold, emotionless villain into a fully fleshed out, multi-dimensional character.

1 Annie’s life and death – there’s nothing Robin can do about it

Robin Annie in the Growing Pains Batman animated series

Tim Drake goes through another tragedy as Robin. This time it’s about a little girl named Annie. She came to Robin for help, begging him to save her from her abusive father. It turns out that she is a sensitive part of Clayface and that he is his “father”.

Clayface reabsorbs Annie, effectively murdering this helpless little child and there is nothing Robin can do about it. It’s a truly nightmare time for the show which goes beyond most other children’s shows.

Belfast City Council is considering plans for a city-wide Christmas entertainment program this year, replacing the traditional switch.

This decision is due to what the Council says are plans for a phased approach to handling future events.

The start-up was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 emergency.

The Lights of Belfast have been lit with the help of a few famous names over the years. Most prominent is US President Bill Clinton, who completed this task in 1995 while visiting with his wife Hillary.

In a statement to Causeway Coast Community, a spokesperson for Belfast City Council said: ‘After the lockdown restrictions were lifted, the council agreed on a phased approach to delivery of future events, with the safety of participants being a top priority in light of the pandemic.

“The traditional Christmas lights will not be turned on this year, but plans are currently being finalized for an extended Christmas entertainment program in collaboration with city partners.

“The Council also works closely with, and supports, a range of partners in the events, festivals and arts sector to enable them to host a range of events in the fall and winter.

“Details of plans for Christmas events will be shared on the council’s website and on social media in due course when they are announced. “

Director Sibi Naayagam’s short film Ponni is an impressive undertaking. The Tamil Project was conceived and shot while the writer-director was in the School of Film Arts at the University of Southern California (USC) and produced in conjunction with his production division.

It tells the story of an extraordinary young girl, Ponni, at the end of the 18th century who fights and defends her village against British troops. Pavithra Lakshmi lent her voice to the courageous teenager while Bianka Kureti’s performance serves as the basis for Ponni’s on-screen movements. Likewise, Meera Krishna voices her mother, Raajamma, who is hosted by actress Amber Hameed.

Sibi co-wrote the screenplay with Gwydhar Gebien and Sean Roldan provided the score for the 14-minute short. The filmmaker, who hopes to release the film soon, detailed Ponni’s long but useful journey via email, talking about the challenges he faced and the lessons he learned.

The creator of the ambitious project, which used cutting-edge technology, hopes to win over audiences and set a standard that others could follow. The film is currently in post-production.

Extracts:

Your next Ponni animated short is based on stories you heard as a child. Did they also inspire you to become a filmmaker?

I believe these stories sowed the seed in me to be a storyteller and helped my imagination to grow. But I would say that the greatest inspiration for being a filmmaker came from the conversations between my father and his friend, Mr. Palanivasan. They were very passionate about movies, and both would have many hours of talking to analyze a recently released movie. Growing up listening to them inspired me to become a filmmaker.

Who or what made you decide to become a writer-director?

When I was about 10 years old, I remember getting so bored with one of the classes that I pulled out my draft and started writing a few pages of a story. It was about a bored schoolboy who is saved in a magical world. Writing these escape stories from reality continued to be my savior during boring class. But the turning point came in my sophomore year of engineering school, when I wasn’t happy with what I was learning and really wanted to do something I enjoyed. What better path than the one that has fascinated me since my childhood? I specifically wanted to be a writer-director because I wanted to lead the creative team and bring to life all these universes that I have built in my imagination. I also enjoy taking on leadership positions and the immense responsibility that comes with such a position.

How was the journey between a writing task and the production stage?

It was definitely an amazing trip, even in pre-production. Once I knew I wanted to make this short, I had to find a way to actually do it. At that time, only the big studios had access to the technology I wanted to use and there was no previous student project that I could draw inspiration from. This meant that I had to come up with new workflows adapted to the resources to which I had access. Also, I needed to convince the university to provide the support for this, like the motion capture space. The fact that there hadn’t been such an ambitious project in college before meant that once I got the go-ahead I had the pressure to set a happy precedent so that future filmmakers wouldn’t. be rejected from such an enterprise. It took over a year of pre-production with a lot of obstacles, but my teachers and friends have been extremely supportive throughout. They made my dream come true.

What was the most difficult challenge for you while making the short film?

Any movie will have its hurdles, but the chances of something going wrong increase with increased reliance on technology. With Ponni, we relied on new technology that was very powerful but lacked large-scale testing and tended to break at unexpected times. As a filmmaker, there are issues you can plan for and there are issues you don’t even know exist. Even though it took a while, I eventually always found solutions to our technical issues, but the pandemic was a different issue. We had to completely shut down our post production for many months and when we resumed we had to improvise and work from home as none of the facilities were open yet. Overcoming these struggles and staying motivated throughout was the hardest challenge for me on this short.

Ponni involves both the involvement of qualified technicians and cutting-edge technology. How were you able to streamline the two to bring the short film to life?

One of the experienced technicians who was helping me told me that I seemed to have the talent to surround myself with great artists and technicians. Maybe so, but I firmly believe that it was the novelty of what I was trying to do and the content of the film that attracted these great people. I’ve always believed that my role as a director is to present my vision to the many brilliant creatives working on the project and to let the vision evolve with their contributions as well. I simply have to orient our collective choices towards the same goal.

And working with high-end technology, despite its problems, is a lot of fun. All I had to do was divide the work between us, letting each one be in charge of a certain aspect of the film. It’s been uncharted territory for just about everyone involved, so believing and working to bring this short to life is certainly a huge and heartwarming effort. The result of all this collaboration is a better film than I could have imagined.

What were your greatest lessons on this project?

I learned a lot about making an animated film with this new workflow and I feel confident to call myself an expert in using this technology which has led me to be a advise for students who use it. But there were some important learnings overall that I’m going to continue with me, like finishing a movie at the right time is far more valuable than taking too long trying to make a perfect movie. Be brave to say enough, cut corners, and be okay with imperfections. It’s good to be ambitious but it is important to plan and schedule a production well to avoid being exhausted because a tired filmmaker will not always make the right choices.

In India, animated films are considered children’s rates. Can Ponni change this notion?

Sure, he will. Traditional animation is a time consuming process and the budget and resources to make an animated film that engages adults has not been achievable in India. With this revolutionary new technology that is forcing even Hollywood studios to change their approach to filmmaking, animated films have become very accessible and achievable in high quality with much less resources than before. We will see an animation boom in the world, especially India, in the coming years and I think Ponni, with his content and creative process, will serve as an inspiration for this change.

What are your plans to release the short film?

From now on, we are planning to submit Ponni to film festivals and after that we hope to put him on a streaming platform for audiences to see. We are very happy to share this movie with everyone as soon as possible!

Tom, ten years old coming soon to HBO Max. The streaming service has announced a release date for the creator’s new adult animated series. The Life and Times of Tim -Steve Dildarian. Ten episodes have been ordered for the first season of the series that follows the life of Tom, an average kid who receives bad advice from the adults around him.

Dildarian, Byron Bowers, Todd Glass, Gillian Jacobs, Edi Patterson and John Malkovich are the voices of the series with special appearances from David Duchovny, Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Lyonne, Mark Proksch, Tim Robinson, George Wallace and more scheduled during the season.

HBO Max revealed more information about the upcoming series in a press release.

“The Max Original TOM TEN YEARS, a ten-biting adult animated comedy series, will debut THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 30 on HBO Max. The series is created and written by Steve Dildarian (The Life and Times of Tim), who will produce with television animation veteran Nick Weidenfeld (The Boondocks, Rick & Morty). Dildarian plays the main character Tom alongside talented actors and comedians including Byron Bowers, Todd Glass, Gillian Jacobs, Edi Patterson and John Malkovich with guest appearances by David Duchovny, Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Lyonne, Mark Proksch, Tim Robinson, George Wallace and more.

“Steve Dildarian is a huge talent and a wonderful collaborator,” said Billy Wee, executive vice president, comedy and animation, HBO Max. “We can’t wait for comedy fans around the world to experience the absurd brilliance of TOM TEN YEARS. “

“I wanted to write a show about a kid who is trying to make sense of the world around him, but to do it in a way that doesn’t make noise,” Dildarian said. “HBO Max is the perfect home for a show like this, and I am very grateful for the opportunity.”

TOM TEN YEARS follows the misadventures of an average child as he grapples with questionable advice from the well-meaning adults around him. Being a kid is hard enough for Tom, but when bad influences seem to lurk around every corner – from contentious parents and drug-dealing bus drivers to school administrators who want to sleep with his mother – it’s downright impossible. While the adults in Tom’s life are certainly well-meaning, they just fail to lead by example. “

From a marketing standpoint, video content is one way a brand can grab an audience’s attention, increase engagement and conversion metrics, and thereby increase sales. In addition, this format allows you to clearly declare yourself and bring together a community of fans on media platforms where the company was not previously present. We are of course talking about social networks – especially those where video is the main or priority means of communication. Thus, video content is the main element of video marketing, the task of which is to promote goods and services in the digital environment.

Types of video content

There are different types of videos. Each of them has its own impact on the target audience. After all, explanatory marketing animation video is not free creativity. The sales effect for him is of great importance. And the promotion objective dictates the choice of the necessary solution. Before proceeding with the production of videos, you should determine what types of video content are best suited for the chosen strategy, and also explain why they are needed.

In addition to the production issues of video production, you also need to consider the audience’s priorities and interests in order to create in-demand content. Engaging consumers with brand storytelling is no easy task. In order to fit them into the created story, you also need to take into account the existing trends in video content in 2021. Here are some of the current trends according to the video marketing statistics:

  1. 65% of users search for a solution to their problem on YouTube. They are interested in videos with instructions or an explanation of the reason. Educational content is a good way to build relationships and build trust with potential buyers.
  2. People are much more willing to watch videos on mobile devices than anywhere else. This is facilitated by social media as they are interested in posting with video content. You should take this into account and choose the appropriate video formats, as well as provide explanatory subtitles or captions, as often viewing on the phone takes place with the sound turned off.
  3. The natural attracts attention. Videos are trending now, which don’t look glossy and professional. Users want natural communication with brands.
  4. Microvideo becomes the mainstream format. Short, bright videos are what a web surfer is ready to watch today.
  5. Interactive video technology allows viewers to actively interact with content. A tooltip displayed there directs them to a specific action. After the pandemic, short interactive product ads with the ability to make a purchase without leaving the viewing area are replacing impulse purchases in the checkout area of traditional stores.

Advantages of video content over other formats

Why does video work better than other content? People have been attached to him since the advent of television. Today, when people’s information congestion is greater than ever, the majority of users continue to actively watch video content and spend at least two hours a day in this entertainment. This makes YouTube more popular than any social media or other site.

The obvious benefits of video content have caught the attention of marketers, who are now actively using it to promote products and services. Here are the benefits of this content format that marketers use to solve their problems:

  • It is easier for people to watch than to read, so the visibility is much higher than reading texts.
  • Internet access speed is high enough to watch high quality videos on mobile device. And the video content itself is universal to be placed on popular media platforms. This makes the videos ready to watch anywhere, anytime and for every user.
  • Social media uses video to increase audience engagement rates and prioritize reach over other forms of content.
  • Bright, entertaining and visual presentation of information through video contributes to the fact that audience involvement in this form of communication is higher, which means that the effectiveness of targeted actions also increases.

All of the above indicates that video content has already become a new language of business interaction with its consumers. The activity of its use will only increase. More and more businesses are including video marketing in their promotion strategies. And your business can become one of them because video marketing is a win-win option when used correctly.

Ellipsanime Productions and TimpelPictures Develop Scary Animated Series Under the school (26 × 26 ′), an original project by Nicolas Bary. One of the projects presented at Cartoon Forum is the 2D rendered 3D animation series for ages 7 to 12.

Under the School raises the curtain on the hidden side of a unique boarding school, whose teaching methods have made the world’s worst dunces the best students in the world. To do this, St Joseph’s has a secret, under the school floors is a system of “reconditioning” to put children “on the right path”, as effective as it is mysterious. But they did not count on Bug and his little brother Doudou, two new students who will not go there quietly!

“Through their adventures, heroes and heroines must learn to trust each other and to surpass themselves. It’s a series where kids learn to bypass strict school rules to learn in a different way, ”said Arthur Colignon, producer of Ellipsanime Productions.

“The series promotes the right to be different, to show that the academic education system is not for everyone and that there are plenty of ways to be successful in life. This is what particularly attracted us to Nicolas Bary’s project, ”he added.

Nicolas Bary a producer, writer and director is known for his works Problem at Timpetill adapted from the novel by Henry Winterfeld, The scapegoat which is adapted from Daniel Pennac’s bestseller, and Little Spirou, an adaptation of the famous comics by Tome and Janry, published by Dupuis.

“I envisioned the universe of the show over 15 years ago, tapping into my memories as a dunce at the back of the classroom, having lived life in a boarding school,” Bary said.

“Our ambition with the artistic team, Justine Cunha, the graphic author, Cyril Deydier, the co-writer, and Max Maléo, the director, is to immerse children in a retro-modern universe: as realistic as it is spectacular with its decorations. . And at its heart is an investigation that will lead them into the bowels of the school. No superpowers in our history, just the power of the imagination and the individual talents of each, which remains their greatest strength, ”he added.

The series is also adapted as a comic, which will be co-edited by Dupuis and TimpelPictures. There will be three volumes, two of which have been written and are in the drawing stage.

A promising new animated series based in the Quad Cities has caught the attention of Disney animation genius Tom Ruegger. Now, the local artist who created the cartoon “Chucky Chicken” is hoping to work with the experienced mentor to bring the YouTube series to the big screen.

“One hundred years ago, Walt Disney had to leave the Midwest and come home to make his dream come true,” said Davenport-based host Michael Cook, “We’re in the future now, we shouldn’t have to do this. “

Davenport — the setting for this Emmy-nominated host’s new adventure. Cook describes how he — literally — draws inspiration from his surroundings, saying, “I can be inspired by what I see the Mississippi River around me in the summer — the steamboats passing by.”

Cook and Chucky weren’t on this trip alone – the eccentric chicken caught the eye of Tom Ruegger – the creator of Disney’s Animans.

“It’s so intimidating knowing that someone who created my childhood is now helping me to have new childhoods.” said Michel.

The Leading Animator — bringing the magic and passion of Disney to the Quad Cities-based series. Cook enjoys working with the artistic legend of animation.

“It’s not just wanting to work with someone just because they have a big name, it’s building a relationship and building a friendship and building a connection with someone because that’s more important than anything. . “

Friendship – solving both chicken struggles and human struggles.
“Chucky is kind of me in chicken form.” Cook explains, “What I love about Chucky is that he’s always there for his friends.
“I have to deeply admire how human the microphone is.” said a voice actor from the Chucky Chicken project.
“Mike cares about the person behind the voice so Mike cares about the character.”

From a scribble on a piece of paper, in the hands of a talented Disney, Chucky is ready for his next adventure. Michael hopes to see his chicken grow up. He hopes Chucky will star in a TV series, a movie, and wherever his wings can fly — “Someday I’ll get him … someday.” Cook said.
