Gary Lockett, Chairman of Southend United Community & Educational Trust and Director of Southend United is about to cycle from Southend-on-Sea to Southend in Scotland to raise vital funds to support the ongoing work being done in the community.

Gary’s ride will start at Roots Hall Stadium, Southend-on-Sea, on June 15 and end at Muneroy Tearooms, Southend, Scotland, on June 21.

Special guests will join Gary along the way, covering various parts of the country. The aim is for Gary to raise £10,000 to support the Trust’s vital work.

Gary Lockett said: “SUCET has had a tough few years fundraising, impacted by the league’s position, the pandemic and most recently the Community Corner fire at Roots Hall. SUCET does a fantastic job for our communities and so As President I felt a duty to do my part and help raise funds to enable SUCET to continue to deliver its great work.
